Covering over 7 hectares, the community garden south of Los Angeles is one of the largest of its kind in the US. Started up as a sort of make-good initiative after the 1992 riots, the garden has become, thanks to the efforts of the South Central Farmers, an environmental miracle in one of the county's most degraded areas.
