Guernica

by Robert J. Flaherty Fiction Usa 1949 12'

Incomplete, commisioned by the Museum of Modern Art and by the City of New York, and most of all seen by very few people, Guernica was made soon after Louisiana Story's success. The film is one of the short documentaries that the director shot together with his fasmily (see the name of David Flaherty for the editing) with a didactic aim. The images are those of the Basque town and of Picasso's masterpiece.
