In the global warming movie, An Inconvenient Truth (2006), former U.S. vice president Al Gore presented mountains of research data on climate change and urged for international political intervention to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Today, nearly a decade and scores of climate change conferences later, very little has actually been achieved in this direction. The point of no return is approaching and our lifestyles continue to contribute to global warming, as does the increasing use of nonrenewable energy sources.
