Following her mother's death, 17-year-old Mary Katherine returns home to live with her father, the eccentric professor Bomba, who is obsessed with the idea that nature is populated with tiny invisible creatures. Initially skeptical about her father's theories, she is persuaded otherwise when, miniaturized, she discovers the existence of Leafmen, a special corps that protects the forest against the invading Bogani, armed with fire and arrows that can kill any living being they hit. Thus Mary Katherine takes up an epic battle to save the planet.
