The comparison between the two methods mainly in use for the waste disposal of urban solid waste: garbage dump and thermal-exploiter (aka incinerator). Waste administration in the Province of Turin is confronting institutions before the need to find an alternative solution to garbage dump which presents so many problems to make it unfeasible. The new solution is "thermal-exploitation", strongly opposed by local communities. Video-reportage Empty Trash would like to give some knowledge of both waste disposal methods, from the point of view of "Livello Cittadino", and the perception of garbage problems and feasible solutions, together with respective doubts and uncertainties.
