Mario worked at Fibronit in Bari where, until 1985, the factory
produced asbestos for Eternit. When he was hired in the 1960s, his life seemed made for him: marriage, two children, a home, steady wages. Having a permanent job, he could provide a comfortable life for his family. He soon discovered, however, at what price such happiness came.
