When Daniel Incalcaterra discovers that he has inherited from his father 5000 hectares of land in the Gran Chaco, South America, which compri- ses the second largest forest in surface area after the Amazon, he leaves for Paraguay. His objective is to urge the government to bind legal provisions to the land to place it under protection of a natural reserve, thus returning it to the Guarnì, a native population. His plans are thwarted by other land owners and bureaucratic red tape. While there, he witnesses the extensive deforestation perpetrated by large land owners, multinationals, and oil companies.<%YOUTUBE=l74xwutQvu8%>
