Sam, the son of the president of Capital State, gets lost during a boy scout trip and finds himself in a rural village in an exotic country. Here he meets Nora and Kim, her little brother, who has the gift of talking with nature and listening to its advice. In the meantime, world leaders, in an attempt to defeat the fiery beasts created by global warming, decide to carpet bomb using cooling missiles but without knowing that this risks destroying the earth's ozone layer. The three children hit upon a plan to save humanity.
