The Tokyo Fish Market is the world's largest wholesale fish and seafood market, handling over 2000 tons of seafood per day imported from 60 countries. Inside the hall, this huge amount of incoming merchandise is whisked around by electric carts. Buyers roam the labyrinth of stalls, inspecting the fish before the bidding starts, while workers haul, saw, carve and chop the products for retail. The small fish are killed fresh while the customer waits and are left to die in their own blood.
