Welcome to the Nuclear Land

Benvenuti nella terra del nucleare
by Esther Hoffenberg Documentary Francia/France 2009 80'

Normandy is home to more nuclear power plants than anywhere else; yet this world record is something of a taboo for the local population loathe to openly discussing the problems and risks of radioactive waste disposal. But with earnest humor, Hoffenberg manages to lift the silence in interviews with politicians, nuclear industry operators, Greenpeace activists and the man on the street, probing opinions on a sensitive issue: 84% of France's power supply comes from atomic energy.
