Creative design can be a good answer to multiple environmental problems in favor of social, economic, and ecological sustainability. This is demonstrated by the Danish non-profit group "INDEX: Design to Improve Life" which, with its own research, offers concrete examples of how industrial design can be used to build cheap housing, reduce ocean pollution, and even eliminate Landmines. Through interviews with experts in the sector, we learn the history of this group, promoter of an international competition that takes as its guidelines the sustainable development goals sanctioned by the United Nations. An unprecedented and innovative way of thinking about a design that combines ethical, aesthetic, and industrial needs.
