The world is waiting for a new model of leadership, but what kind? The response may come from the Australian philosopher Fabian Dattner, leading an international group of 76 scientists across the Antarctic in training to become the kind of leader they aspire to. Her hope is that when the women are ready to excel in science, they will also be able to effect significant change. But when their personal stories and gender-related prejudice they experienced in the workplace are revealed, Dattner’s leadership model is called into question. Set in the Earth’s last unpolluted area, the documentary discloses the barriers to advancement women in science face in their work and in life.
