The residents of a council block in Aleixo, a poor section of Porto, are awaiting their eviction notice after being informed the block will be razed. Over the years, Aleixo has become a difficult neighborhood, closed off from the rest of the city. Demolition has gone forward for nearly 10 years, creating a sensation of uncertainty and resignation among residents. The last remaining ones relate their anger, pain, and feeling of impotence to resist against the destruction of their community and its future.
