Mahesh Mathai was born
in Kerala (India) in 1959, the son of an intellectual family. After studying at
Bombay University, in 1980 he started working as an apprentice for a production
company. Later on he set up Synchrony, the "new phenomenon of Indian
Advertising". He has made several films which brought him numerous awards.
In 1988 he founded Highlight, a production company extremely successful in
Bombay. In 1994 he was the first Indian director to work for Yarra Films, a
Singapore world-famous production company. In 1997 he started working on
numerous scripts, including his debut feature Bhopal Express.
