From 1971 to 1978 he was a screenwriter for Studio Bozzetto and worked on Allegro non troppo and three features for Mr Rossi. In 1975, he founded the Quelli di Grock theatrical company. His first feature film was Ratataplan (1979), followed by Ho fatto splash (1980), Ladri di saponette (1988), Volere volare (1990), Luna e l’altra (1997) and Honolulu Baby (2001). He has conducted television shows (including Quo Vadiz? and Pista!), stage (Le sorelle Materassi, Tootsie and La verità) opera (The Barber of Seville, The Domino noir, Il paese dei campanelli, Cin-Ci-Là), fiction (Dott. Clown and Agata e Ulisse) and TV series ("Mammamia!"). For the Rai network he made the cartoon series "Neve & Gliz" and "Teen Days". From 2005 to 2010 he was artistic director of the Trento Film Festival.
