JÁ¶rn Staeger (b. 1965, Berlin, Germany) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Hamburg from 1984 to 1991, where he earned a degree in Visual Communications. In 1994 he received a scholarship for postgraduate studies in Chicago. Since 1990 he has worked as filmmaker and cameraman for film and TV productions. He directed the short films Im Dunkel Der Projection (1986), Schacht (1988), Desolatesse (1989, co-directed with Rasmus Gerlach), Splitter (1991), Ruinen (1993), Rad (2001), Depressionismus (2001), Zielpunkte Der Stadt (2004), Lebensgeister (2004) and the TV film Hier Bin Ich-Meidner (1990).
