Angelo Fontana


Since he began in 1960, Paolo Brunatto has made some 400 documentaries, reportages, investigative reports and experimental films for the RAI, Fininvest and the BBC. His films have been selected for major film festivals throughout the world:Venice (1981 and 1987), Berlin, Moscow, Montreal, Caracas, San Francisco, Mannheim, Amsterdam, Paris (Centre Pompidou), Melbourne (Istituto Italiano di Cultura), Bombay, Kathmandu , Florence (Festival dei Popoli), Pesaro, Salsomaggiore, Taormina and Rome (Massenzio,1980). Angelo Fontana, an anthropologist by training, has lived and worked in Nepal and India since 1982. He has directed several documentaries for Nepalese TV, including Jal Danab (Nepal, 1984), Adrishya Satthru (Nepal, 1985), La faccia sorridente della luna (Tibe, 1985), Gaine (Nepal, 1987), Che cosa fa Om Pr akash a Kathmandu. He has recently directed documentaries for various TV broadcaster s in Asia, and frequently collaborates with director Paolo Brunatto.
