Erik Gandini


Erik Gandini (Bergamo, 1967) moved to Sweden at age 18 where he currently lives. His first documentary Raja Sarajevo (1994) filmed during the Balkan War, tells the story of a group of young friends in besieged Sarajevo. Since then he has made numerous other award-winning films, including Not Without Prijedor, Ameresians, Sacrificio - Chi ha tradito Che Guevara? and Surplus-Terrorized Into Being Consumer.Tarik Sakeh (1972), Egyptian-Swedish, was a graffiti artist in Stockholm before becoming art director for an advertising agency. Jointly with several friends in Cairo, he founded the magazine Alive. After returning to Sweden, he worked for TV and the magazine Atlas. He collaborated with Erik Gandini on the documentary Sacrificio-Who Betrayed Che Guevara? (2001). After making animation shorts, he currently works for the ATMO Animation Studio.
