Since 2000 he has worked as cinéaste for numerous film productions. He was assistant to director Antonio Isordia on 1973, which won the 2006 Diosa de Plata award, and to Iria Gómez Concheiro on Dime lo que sientes, which won the 2007 Ariel award. He made his directorial debut with the documentary Nahui Ollin, sol de movimiento (2016). In 2009 he created Cinema Planeta, Festival Internacional de Cine y Medio Ambiente de México, for which he is festival co-director. He was jury member at Filmambiente, Rio de Janeiro 2014, Green Film Festival, Seoul 2015, and Fest Cineamazônia, Porto Velho 2016. He was a member of the selection commission for young delegates to the 64th session of the U.N. General Assembly, and member of the selection commission for the Ecological Merit award of the Secretariat of the Mexican Ministry of the Environment from 2013 to 2016.
