Margaret (Peggy) Parsons

Curator of the film program at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., an exhibition program with an archival collection, Parsons is currently member of the Advisory Board for the Environmental Film Festival in Washington D.C. She has been a trustee for film organizations such as the Robert Flaherty Film Seminar and CINE, served on the editorial boards of The Moving Image and the Getty Trust’s Program for Art on Film, and served as a festival juror for the Washington, Syracuse, and Nashville International Film Festivals in the United States. In 2013 she founded an environmental film festival in central New York State called Glimmerglass Film Days, and has recently received awards for her work in film preservation from the governments of France, Georgia, and the Czech Republic.
