Paola Loreto

Paola Loreto is poet in residence at the Centre de Poésie et Traduction, Fondation Royaumont (Paris), and curator of the LucaniaPoesiaFestival. She teaches Anglo-American literature at the University of Milan and has translated American poets and written on the works of Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, and Derek Walcott. Her L’acero rosso garnered her the 2003 Premio Tronto and the 2003 Premio Benedetto Croce for a collection of poems about the mountains. These were followed by the 2007 Premio Calabria-Alto Ionio for Addio al decoro, the 2012 Premio Fogazzaro for In quota, and a nomination for the 2016 Premio Mauro Maconi for Case spogliamenti.
