Massimo D'Anolfi and Martina Parenti have several documentaries to their film credit, including I promessi sposi (2007) and Grandi speranze (2009), both presented at the Locarno Festival, and Il castello (2011), which earned them the special jury prize at the 29th Torino Film Festival.
