(Turin, 1980) Fornasero earned a degree in economics and business from the University of Turin. Having an acute interest in cinema and documentary filmmaking, in 2005 he began working on audiovisual productions for advertising and cinema. In 2007, together with friends and colleagues, he cofounded the production company Indyca through which he gained experience as producer, filmmaker, director of photography, and editor. He has collaborated on numerous shorts and documentaries, including Frontline is everywhere (2005), Uno scampolo di Paradiso (2008), La leggenda del pesce azzurro (2008), La Paura SiCura (2010), and with directors such as Gabriele Vacis and Peter Greenaway. SmoKings is his directorial debut documentary.
