Benh Zeitlin earned a degree in filmmaking from Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut. His directorial credits include the shorts Egg (2005), The Origins of Electricity (2006), and Glory at Sea (2008); Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012) is his first feature.
