Maria Rosa Jijon (b. Ecuador, 1968) lives and works in Rome. Visual artist, activist and culture mediator, she is part of the G2 second generation network of immigrants in Italy, and of the artists' collective El Puente, which works in Colombia and Europe. Her subjects are human mobility in migration contexts. Her works have been exhibited at the 10th Biennial, Havana, the 10th and 11th Freewaves Festival, Los Angeles, the Loop Festival Barcelona, the 5th Biennial, La Paz, the 3rd Biennial of Latin-American Video Art, Washington, the Prague Biennial 2, and the 1st Polygraphic Triennial, San Juan, Porto Rico.
