Lukas Marxt studied geography and ecosystems at Graz before attending the University of Art and Design, Linz. He then studied multimedia at Lisbon and received a postgraduate diploma from the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne, and a master from the Academy of Fine Art, Leipzig. Directorial titles to his credit include Cape Ground (2016) and Fishing is not Done on Tuesdays (2017), co-directed with Marcel Odenbachand presented in competition at the Berlinale.
