Esther Hoffenberg made her first film, Comme si c'était hier, a documentary-style feature, codirected with Myriam Abramowicz. She then was radio producer for France Culture and film distributor for L'Office National du film du Canada. In 1989 she founded the production company Lapsus, for which she has produced nearly 60 films. In 2005 she directed the internationally prizewinning documentary Les deux vies d'Eva, followed by Discorama, signé Glaser (2007).
