Lordan Zafranovic was born in Croatia in 1944. He educated at Spalato Uiversity in Arts and Literature and attended the FAMU school in Prague in 1971. That year he moves to Zagabria, where he lives and works until 1995, when he moves back to Prague. His films earned him many an important prize.
