Damien De Pierpont (b. 1968, Liege, Belgium) studied law and philosophy before making his directorial debut with Fin d'été (1994), followed by award-winning La Supériorité de l'image au niveau de l'excitation (1995), Menteur (1996) and the documentary Le Départ (1998). He currently lives in Japan where he is working on two projects: TarÁ´ et le demon du vulcan, an animated film about a boy samurai, and the TV series Rhapsodie en vert.
