Born in Beirut in 1970, Danielle Arbid has left Lebanon before civil war to study journalism in Paris and Brussels. In 1998 she has directed her first short Raddem (Demolition), then, in 1999 Le passeur, in 2000 the internationally awarded Seule avec la guerre. In 2002 she has made up a medium-length feature (EÌtrangeÌ€re) and a film, Dans les camps de bataille.
