In addition to many interests: writing, acting, TV journalism, newspaper columns (advice on love and essays about life, which have been published in many dailies and weeklies), poetess Stanka Gjuric who published ten books, has entered the world of film making since 2006, gaining worldwide acclaim with her short film Ubojite misli (Battle Thoughts). She is a member of the Croatian Writers' Association and the Croatian Freelance Artists' Association.
Gjuric writes her own scripts, directs, produce and edits her own films. Her film were invited to film festivals in France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, India, Egypt, Switzerland... Untill today she won 5 film awards: in Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Canada, and USA.
