Salomé Jashi, studied journalism, then left Georgia in 2005 on a British Council scholarship to study documentary filmmaking at the Royal Holloway, London. Titles to her credit are the award-winning Bakhmaro (2011) and The Dazzling Light of Sunset (2016). She is founder of the Sakdoc Film and Microcosmos production companies. In 2017 she had a scholarship with the Berlin Nipkow program and in 2020 with the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin.
